Request to authorise absence from school due to exceptional circumstances
Schools are only able to authorise absence from school in exceptional circumstances. In making a request for an authorised absence from school you will need to explain why the circumstances are exceptional.
Please complete the form below and return to Reception. You are advised not to make any arrangements until your request has been considered.
Please be aware that as of August 2025, the 'Leave of Absence Request Form' has been updated to reflect a policy change. Schools are now authorised to issue Penalty Notices to all parents who try to avoid penalties by scheduling holidays that fall below the threshold, including weeks containing Bank Holidays or Inset Days.
