Movember fundraising raises £560.50!

Thank you again to all the students who took part in the 'Movember', the annual event involving the growing of moustaches during the month of November to raise awareness of men's health issues.

Organised by PE teacher, Mr Platt, students were asked to take part in a day-long challenge, with cycling and rowing machines set-up in the school reception for students and teachers to complete 20 minute sessions and collectively see how far they could travel in the course of the school day. Students and teachers pedalled and rowed hard, covering an incredible 143.5 miles -  the equivalent of travelling from the school to Derby!

In addition, many students purchased moustaches for 50p,  and Mr Platt has been out running every day this month, completing a half marathon last weekend.

Collectively we have raised £560.50 for the charity. Well done to everyone who took part!
