Yesterday, we were thrilled to welcome Education Business Partnership and local business ambassadors to our school for an exciting ‘Scrap Heap Challenge’ with our Year 8 students. Ella Azzopardi from @Octavius shared her inspiring journey to becoming a Civil Engineer and gave the students valuable insights into the construction industry. Following her talk, students worked in small groups to unleash their creativity and build a cardboard city using recycled materials. They had to consider the environmental impact of their city, thinking about sustainability and practicality alongside including essential local services.

We were incredibly impressed by the students' creations. More details about the project will feature in the next issue of "News from The Hurst."Scrapheap Challenge
