Year 11 experience university life at St Hilda's College, Oxford
Back to NewsYesterday, 14 of our year 11 students visited St Hilda’s College at Oxford University to find out more about university life.
The group attended an inspiring talk by lecturers and current students on life at university, toured the college, and enjoyed lunch, before taking part in a fascinating Earth Sciences taster lesson. Highlights included learning how scientists can study weather from millions of years ago using mud, slime and tree bark, handling a 1.2-million-year-old asteroid, and holding amber from the Jurassic period!
Assistant Headteacher Mrs. Avery said, “Our students were a credit to the school, asked some great questions and fully engaged with the experience. Thank you to St Hilda’s College for an unforgettable day!”
