Year 10 complete mock interview exercise

Today, our Year 10 students took part in a mock interview experience as part of their Careers Education programme. Supported by the Education Business Partnership (EBP), every student completed a 15‑minute one‑to‑one interview with a Business Ambassador from a wide range of organisations, including Vodafone, Hewlett Packard Inc., AWE, Babcock International, Cavendish Nuclear, AtkinsRéalis and Barclays.

The interviews were competency‑based, giving students the chance to demonstrate their skills and qualities in a professional setting. Each student will receive a personalised report from their interviewer, including ratings for personal presentation and the quality of their responses, as well as constructive feedback that can support future CV writing and interview preparation.

Feedback from the day was extremely positive, with students enjoying the opportunity—particularly as it was the first interview experience for most of them.

In the lead‑up to the event, students prepared during tutor time by exploring their own skills and attributes and gathering evidence to help them confidently discuss their strengths.
