Eco Team Begin Transforming School Grounds into Wildlife Haven
Back to NewsOur Eco Team are hard at work this term, turning one of the school’s outdoor spaces into a thriving wildlife garden. Students have already created a range of features to encourage local biodiversity, including homemade bird feeders and a carefully constructed bug hotel. These additions are already attracting interest, and hopefully soon from wildlife as well!
With the wildlife garden well underway, the team are now preparing for their next exciting project: restoring a section of land into a fully functioning allotment and vegetable garden. Students have begun digging out the top layer of weeds to prepare the area, ready for raised beds that will be installed in the spring. Once complete, this new space will support hands‑on learning about growing food, sustainability, and caring for the environment.
The Eco Team are passionate about making the school greener and more eco‑friendly, and they would be grateful for any support from the wider community. If you are able to provide equipment, tools, gardening supplies, or any other resources that might help the club in their mission, your contribution would be very much appreciated.
If you are able to support, please email Mr Parry‑Wilson at [email protected]
