Luke Harden, actor and director visits Year 8 English students and Reading Ambassadors
Back to NewsAt the end of last term, our Year 8 English students and Reading Ambassadors were treated to a visit by actor Luke Harden, who spoke to them about starring in Heartstopper, a teenage LGBTQ+ drama currently on Netflix about teen friendship and young romance, based on the book by Alice Oseman.
Luke, who has also starred in the film 1917, has recently taken a bit of a move away from acting into directing and has been an Assistant Director on the New Marvel film. Alongside asking him questions about Heartstopper, the students were keen to get an insight into how Luke became an actor and try to get plot spoilers for the new eagerly awaited Marvel film!
“My visit to the Hurst school was a great experience,” Luke said, “I hope the students enjoyed it as much as I did. I loved speaking with them all about the beautiful books ‘Heartstopper.’ I truly recommend reading the graphic novels and watching the series on Netflix. As I said to the students during my visit ‘reading is truly one of the greatest experiences you can give your mind’.”
Thank you to Ms Osterritter for organising this event.
